What this site is

Clean Text is a free utility that reformats text inside your web browser. It is provided at no charge, with no account, and with no commercial relationship between the operator and the visitor. Using the site means accepting these terms.

Your content remains yours

No rights are claimed over anything pasted into this site. The operator never receives it, so no licence, ownership or permission of any kind transfers. Responsibility for the text and for the right to use it remains with the person pasting it.

Acceptable use

The site may not be used for any unlawful purpose, nor in any way intended to disrupt, damage or place unreasonable load on it or on the infrastructure serving it. Automated systematic retrieval of the site is not permitted.

No warranty

The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of results. The reformatting is performed by automated rules that make judgements about structure, and those judgements will sometimes be wrong.

Output should be reviewed before it is used for anything that matters. The original text is retained on screen for this purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from use of this site or reliance on its output, including any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages.
